These Terms and Conditions outline the agreement you enter into when booking services with Trod Sankofa. By making a booking, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and all individuals included in your party. "Trod Sankofa," "the Company," "we," and "us" refer to Trod Sankofa Limited, while "you," "your," "customer," and "passenger" refer to any individual in the booking.

 

1. Booking Process

Bookings can be made through our website at www.trodsankofa.com or via third-party agents. We offer the following services:

  • Day Tours: Experiences such as Farm, Forests & Falls, Accra Through the Ages, Heritage and Hustle, Ancestral Journeys & Cultural Tours, and Kingdom of the Ashanti: A Journey Through Royal History and Living Culture.
  • Extended Tours: A complete 6-day itinerary, known as "Come Trod Ghana with Us."
  • Travel Planning Services: Customized travel planning and consultation services.

2. Pricing and Payments

Tour Services: The total tour price must be paid in full at the time of booking. Prices include minibus transportation and the services of a Driver-Guide but do not cover accommodation or meals unless specified. Prices are subject to change due to operational costs, and you will be notified of any changes before payment. Offers are subject to availability and conditions.

 

Travel Planning Services: Full payment is required at the time of booking for all travel planning services. Prices are subject to change due to operational costs, and any adjustments will be communicated before payment. All offers are subject to availability and applicable terms.

 

3. Private Tours

To create a Private Tour, please fill out the Private Tour Request form on our website. Prices will vary based on your specific needs, and we may require full payment to confirm your booking.

 

4. Special Requests

If you have any special requests, please inform us at the time of booking. While we will do our best to accommodate reasonable requests, they will only be confirmed if we provide written confirmation. Additional charges may apply for third-party requests.

 

5. Changes to Your Booking

To request changes to your booking, contact us as soon as possible. Minor alterations may incur a small administration fee. You are entitled to one free change of tour date for bookings made with a deposit if done more than 50 days before departure. After this period, changes may incur fees, and if significant changes cannot be accommodated, cancellation fees will apply.

 

6. Cancellation Policy

Day Tours:

  • More than 48 hours: No charge.
  • 24 to 48 hours: 50% of the tour price.
  • Less than 24 hours or no-show: 100% of the tour price.

Full Package Tours:

  • More than 28 days: No charge.
  • 7 to 14 days: 50% of the total package price.
  • Less than 7 days or no-show: 100% of the total package price.

To cancel, please contact us at support@trodsankofa.com. Refunds will be processed within five working days for eligible cancellations.

 

7. Cancellation by Us

We strive to operate all tours as scheduled, but cancellations may occur due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will inform you promptly and offer alternatives or a full refund if needed.

 

8. Liability

We aim to provide services as described; if not, compensation may be applicable but will not exceed the booking total. We are not liable for third-party services or any issues arising from unforeseen circumstances. You are responsible for notifying us of any claims promptly.

 

9. Your Obligations

During tours, follow the instructions of the Driver-Guide. Disruptive behavior or non-compliance with local laws may result in cancellation of your booking without refund.

 

10. Local Guides

We are not liable for any contracts or agreements you enter into with local guides outside of the official tour itinerary. Any such arrangements are made at your own risk.

 

11. Purchases During Tours

We are not liable for any items you purchase during or after the tour. Any customized or handmade items bought outside of our formal tour arrangements are your responsibility. We will not refund any monies related to such purchases, as it is clear that they are outside the scope of our tour services.

 

12. Travel Planning Services

Full payment is required for all travel planning services. This includes customized itineraries, travel consultations, and related services. Any changes or cancellations made after booking will be subject to the cancellation terms provided in the specific travel planning agreement.

 

13. Insurance

We recommend that you obtain comprehensive travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances, including trip cancellations, medical emergencies, and loss of personal belongings.

 

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, where we are based, but we operate worldwide. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the United Kingdom. Trod Sankofa Limited is a registered UK business under company registration number 16052148.
