Our name embodies our philosophy: “Trod,” a Jamaican term meaning to walk or journey, and “Sankofa,” from the Akan people of Ghana, signifying the importance of going back to fetch or learn from the past. We believe every traveler should Explore and Connect with their chosen destination, which in turn helps to Re-awaken our natural human connection with people, nature, and this beautiful planet we call home.
